My Attention Span

My attention span isn't actually terrible — it's just divided between so many projects that it at times can seem like it's bad.

Besides writing on my main project, which is Heart of Silver, the sequel to Eyes of Silver, I also write on other projects, and keep on getting new ideas that I must get jotted down as they come so I don't forget them.

I'm crocheting when I feel like it, because it helps me turn of my brain, and allow me to actually focus on watching a movie without my mind wandering.

I'm building an app because I needed an app with special features I couldn't find in similar apps — and I'm apparently incapable of stopping myself from diving head first into new things I haven't tried before.

The other day I started dismantling wooden pallets to start building a bigger terrarium for my boa constrictor — which obviously isn't something I'll finish in a day, but is a project I have put off for way too long.

I have started a project of changing my office, clean it, and organize it, but the terrarium project is a major part of that, because the terrarium will be in my office once it's finished.

I have some general clutter I need to sort around the house, and I'll get to it all, I just don't know exactly when.

Alongside all of my projects I have three children living at home, and two adult children who are living on their own who still need their mother from time to time. I have my daily household chores, like cooking, cleaning, laundry, and so on. I need to drive my children to and from places, do grocery shopping, and still find time to my relationship with my fiance. And that's only the things going on in my own home. Then the rest of the family, and friends needs time too.

On top of that I have fibromyalgia, and other chronic illnesses that makes everything harder.

At times I feel stretched to the limit, and at times I reach my breaking point, and that's where I end up putting projects on the backburner. That's the only way I know to allow myself to recharge.

My website has been one of the things I have put on the backburner for a couple of months simply because I need to move everything to another platform, which I know will take time, and I really don't feel like I have the necessary mental capacity to do so at the moment.
